Peels at AWC!

There are so many options when it comes to having a Facial Peel. AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C.......it's a lot to sift through. I'm here to make it easier for you to under stand what does what to create a plan for smoother, blemish free skin.


It all starts out with a thorough consultation. Since every person can react to a peel differently it is important to know every aspect of your home care, lifestyle and expected results. Peels can range from no/light flaking all the way to a heavy/sheet peeling. You cannot just start at the top of intensity. If you have never had a peel treatment before, you will start with a light peel and work your way up. This ensures treatments are safe with minimal adverse side effects.

Minimal to Mild downtime Peel Treatments

Now to go over the benefits of each peel that gets matched to your expectations, skin type and skin reaction.


Lactic Acid Peel

Photoaging (fine lines, not course wrinkles).

Mild-medium sun damage.

Looking for deeper hydration.

Gentle exfoliation - little to no visible flaking.

Contra-Indications: Milk Allergies

If you are on the sensitive side, you will really enjoy lactic acid. It has a very large molecule that will make the peel experience more pleasant.


Vitamin-C Peel

Removes dead, damaged cells from the skins surface.

Reveals a brighter complexion.

Prevents sun damage and lightens the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

Perfect for younger clients with normal to dry skin.


Mandelic Peel

Rosacea treatment due to its ability to reduce inflammation.

Mild to moderate and stubborn acne. May control acne without the need for antibiotics.

Reducing fine lines and wrinkles without the irritation or post-inflammatory pigmentation often seen with other AHA acids.

Rapidly improve skin texture and sustaining it.

Reducing pigmentation.

Antibacterial.

Alternative to hydroquinone due to its Tyrosinase inhibition properties (reducing melanin production).


Glycolic Acid Peel

Anti aging.

Reducing Acne inflammation and severity.

Acne and scar treatments, and to re-freshen the skin periodically.

Small molecule and can penetrate into the skin very easily.

Excellent results can be obtained by using glycolic peels bi-weekly.


Fusion Peel (Not currently available)

Multi Acid and Multi enzyme.

Combination of TCA, AHA and BHA, Resorcinol and fruit enzymes.

Mild to heavy peeling to address every major skin issue.

Not a beginner Peel.


TCA Peel

Blemishes.

Skin tone irregularities.

Texture Issues.

Hyperpigmentation.

Fine Wrinkles.

Scarring and Acne Scars - icepick, rolling.

Can be used in combination with other peels such as Jessner.


Jessner Peel

Helps loosen and reduce acne.

Softens crow's feet, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Reduces appearance of acne scarring.

Helps to lighten areas of skin discoloration.

Not recommended for sensitive or dry clients.


Remember, everyones skin is different and you may receive a lighter or deeper peeling.
